Vinterferie i Rio, Visit to Rio de Janeiro

I vinterferieuken, 19-26 februar, besøkte vi våre gode venner Wilhelm og Grete med familie, som bor i Rio i to år. Vi fikk se karnevalsopptog og oppleve folkelivet med samba, dans, rytmer og gleder for alle på tribunene. Vi fikk gått på stranden Copacabana, besøkt Jesus-statuen på Corcovado, tatt gondolen til Sukkertoppen, Christina fikk vært med Anna på skolen en dag, og masse mer, og vi hadde en deilig ferie med varme, sol og gode venner.

This year at Winter Break, February 19-26, we visited our good friends Wilhelm and Grete and family, who relocated to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to stay there for two years. They took us to the carnival festival with all the music, samba, rythm and joy. We walked the Copacabana beach, visited the Jesus-statue at the Corcovado mountain, visited the Sugar Loaf, Christina spent one day with her friend Anna at the international school, and we have many more enjoyable memories from the trip. It was a great vacation for us all, with summer temperature, sunny beaches and good friends.
